Tata Steel is all set to organise the Great Indian Women’s Desert Safari
Tata Steel is all set to flag off the Great Indian Women’s Desert Safari starting 19th February, 2015 at Koteshwar near Bhuj, Gujarat. The team consists of 20 Women, 14 selected by Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and 6 by the Border Security Force (BSF). The participants will undergo a specially designed training program organised by the Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and the BSF at Bhuj before the flag off. The Safari will be led by Ms Bachendri Pal, Chief, Adventure Programme, Tata Steel.
The Safari commemorates the Golden Jubilee of the Border Security Force and the organisation had approached Ms.Bachendri Pal for organising this event. The spirit of adventure, alongwith it’s share of excitement and challenges would be evident throughout the Safari which is scheduled to conclude on March 24th 2015. It would be a befitting tribute to the BSF and it’s 50 years of existence. Earlier, Ms Pal has led a similar expedition in 2007 from Bhuj to the Wagha Border via official press release.
