Skyscraper Dash Stair Race (June 15th, 2014), Banglore
Skyscraper running, or tower running as the sport is called, is growing rapidly around the world, and the dead straight vertical challenge is unlike anything you would ever experience in a 10k, half, or full marathon. Longer runs are about endurance, pacing yourself, and managing your reserves of energy; the Skyscraper Dash is over in a matter of minutes.
- 2.5 k Run N Dash: The most unique 2.5 k you have ever run. The last 130 meters is a dead straight vertical ascent of the World Trade Center, up 850 stairs, with the finish line at the rooftop!
- The Dash: No fuss. No slow miles. 31 floors, 850 stairs, a single sprint from the base to the top of the World Trade Center… What’s the fastest time you can clock?
- Everest Challenge: The World Trade Center building is 128 m high, and 70 ascents to the top is the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest. Form a team of 7-10 people, and run together for a cumulative total of 70 ascents. Are you up for this unique endurance challenge? All participants get a medal and a commemorative t-shirt
The top 3 male and female finishers in both the 2.5k run+dash and Dash only category as well as top team in the Everest challenge will receive prizes from Merrell, the event partner.
