Mumbai Resident Breeze Sharma Creates World Record and Became the First Indian to Complete Himalayan Crossing Race
Mumbai resident Breeze Sharma created World Record and became the First Indian to complete Himalayan Crossing Race. He ran 338km in Himalayan Crossing Ultra in 8000 to 14500ft and finished it successfully, came first in race as well.
Its not officially confirmed but he is all set to claim the world record title and almost certain place in Limca Book for records. The official records have not been published by the organizers.
The Himalayan Crossing is a The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® qualifier with 4 points, and The Spiti finishers receive 3 points for qualification towards 2015 UTMB race. The race started on July 8th from 2792 elevation touched 4554 mts on the last day, i.e July 12th. Himalayan Crossing is multi stage race organized in India by Globeracers, a runner must have complete two 100km + races in the past 12 months or any other high altitude events or ultra races which to apply.
