Bharath Marathon 2014, June 8th (Chennai)
The Bharath Marathon 2014, in Chennai, is an attempt to save the lives of people from the pangs of tobacco, and striving for building a “Tobacco Free India.” Bharath Marathon 2014 is gearing up to become the nation’s biggest and tradition and professional marathon, which is being organized in Chennai.
Organized on June 8,2014, which falls one week after the International “No Tobacco Day,” the marathon is open for everyone irrespective of any age criteria. Bharath Marathon 2014 is associated with the Tamilnadu Marathon Association and is supported by the Dept of Public Health (Dept of Health & Family Welfare).
The grand Marathon Starts from Napier Bridge. From this starting point the runners have to run till Adayar Malar Hospital Signal and have to take “U” Turn and run back to the finish line of newly built welcome arch near Napier Bridge to complete the Half Marathon.
